Distill offers three plans designed for different stages of newsletter growth: Free, Professional, and Business. All plans include core features — you can build and send newsletters from day one on any plan. The main differences are scale limits: how many subscribers you can reach, how many workspaces you can create, and how much sending volume you have each month.
The free plan includes all core Distill features — AI link summaries, custom sending domains, subscriber management, and analytics. You do not need to upgrade to explore the product.
Overview of plan tiers
Free — Ideal for individuals or professionals just getting started. Covers a single workspace with a modest subscriber and sending limit. Best for testing Distill, building your first newsletter, or running a small list.
Professional — Designed for growing newsletters and small teams. Higher subscriber limits, multiple workspaces, and increased sending volume. Best for professionals actively growing their newsletter audience across one or more brands.
Business — Built for agencies, consultants managing multiple clients, or large senders. The highest limits across all dimensions, priority support, and advanced features. Best for teams running newsletters for multiple clients at scale.
Key differences
The most important plan differences are:
- Subscriber limits — Each plan supports a different maximum number of active subscribers across all your workspaces.
- Workspace count — Professional and Business plans allow multiple workspaces, which is essential if you manage newsletters for more than one brand or client.
- Monthly sending volume — The number of individual email sends per month is capped per plan. A send is counted each time an email is delivered to one subscriber.
- Priority support — Business plan customers receive faster response times and dedicated support.

How to choose
Start on Free if you are evaluating Distill, building your first newsletter, or have a small existing list. You can upgrade at any time without losing any data.
Choose Professional if you have outgrown the Free plan's limits, are actively growing your list, or need multiple workspaces to manage more than one brand.
Choose Business if you manage newsletters for multiple clients, need the highest sending volume, or require priority support SLAs.
When you hit a plan limit — for example, trying to add a subscriber beyond your plan's maximum — Distill shows a clear in-app message with an upgrade prompt. You are never silently blocked.
Billing cycle
All paid plans are billed monthly by default. Annual billing is available on Professional and Business plans at a discounted rate. You can switch between monthly and annual billing through the customer portal at any time.
